Job Description Interim Deputy Chief People Officer START DATE Feb 2025 (interviews early Dec 2024) My NHS Client is looking for an Interim Deputy Chief People Officer to report to the Chief People Officer and play a pivotal role in the transformation and improvement of the Trust. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the implementation of the People Strategy and supporting plans, ensuring these are directly linked to the Trust strategic objectives Managing and developing the HR senior leadership team and deputising for the Chief People Officer Developing and implementing the strategic workforce plan aligned to Trust demand, capacity and financial plans working in partnership with the care groups leadership teams and People and Culture Business Partners. Supporting the design and implementation of organisational development initiatives working closely with Executive Directors and our operational leadership teams to deliver improvements in quality, culture and patient care and experience. Designing, developing and implementing in conjunction with our union partners a “Just Culture” approach for all People and Culture policies and procedures. Leading on designated programmes of work across the Integrated Care System and delivering the agreed Workforce workplan for the Integrated Care Partnership Chairing the Staff Committee and taking a lead role in the management of union partnership working Candidates must have significant senior HR leadership experience in a large, complex NHS Trust You’ll have experience of delivering transformational change and improvement in people and culture, together with excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
