Mechanic to work on late 50s to early 60s Grand Prix and Sports Racing Cars. Involving: restoration, race prep, transport, fabrication, and race day support in the UK and in Europe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To work well within a small, close knit team:

  • Be respectful.
  • Complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Activey listen to team members.
  • Communicate clearly with team members.

Safety:

  • All projects completed with a ‘safety first’ attitude.
  • Ensure that all cars are complete and safe before being released on track.

Office/Shop/Work Area Clean-Up:

  • Daily clean-up of own area at the shop and track.
  • Weekly “In Depth” cleanup of same.

Duties.

  • All aspects of race car restoration.
  • Race preparation.
  • Race support which will require travel abroad and weekends away 6-10 times a year.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults with engines and gearboxes.
  • Attend domestic and international race meetings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all vehicles, tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and tasks completed.
  • Drive company vans and towing trailers – essential liscense and experience.
  • To be flexible to perform any additional duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
