The Role
The Racing Business Development Manager UK will be an experienced professional with a proven track record in the automotive motorsport/racing industry, specifically in selling premium branded products. This role involves identifying new business opportunities and developing and cultivating long-term relationships to drive sustainable and incremental revenue growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sales & Account Management.
- Identify, qualify, and secure sales opportunities to drive profitable revenue growth.
- Build and manage key accounts, introducing new products and solutions to expand engagement.
- Achieve sales goals through sales pipeline development, sales leads, understanding sales metrics, and other assigned sales functions and processes.
- Proactively hunt for new business opportunities and successfully onboard prospects.
- Be familiar with product literature and be able to convey product information and availability to customers
- Provide in-depth technical product support, make recommendations, and troubleshoot customer issues via the internal Technical Sales Manager and Customer Service team.
- Develop strong customer relationships, ensuring their needs are fully understood and addressed.
- Work with internal teams, including technical support and marketing, to enhance the customer experience.
- Clearly communicate technical details and specifications to customers.
- Organization & Record Keeping.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, and orders to support follow-up and account growth.
- Provide customer feedback to Director of Performance and Racing for the following, product development, customer service, marketing, and operations using the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to help improve our current product offering and programs.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3+ years in customer service, or 2+ years specifically in motorsport/racing customer service.
- Technical understanding of automotive fluid transfer products and strong sales aptitude.
- Proven skills in customer relationship management and account growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in CRM software.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with Goodridge Motorsports’ product line and a passion for all forms of Motorsport. Racing and automotive customization.
- Independent, proactive approach with problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Passion for Motorsport / Racing. Interest in the automotive sector.
- Preferred residence in the motorsport triangle or within daily commutable distance.
