We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide a first-class financial service for our subsidiary and joint venture companies. What’s the role?
You will be responsible for the budget cycle from preparation to monitoring and reporting on performance for income and expenditure. The role will cover VAT and fixed asset accounting and you will lead the preparation of the statutory financial accounts. You will deliver this service with one direct report and the support of colleagues in the Finance Operations and Incomes teams. You will use your accounting and interpersonal skills to effectively support and challenge budget holders to deliver the Group’s financially secure objectives.
In this role you will:

be the Finance Business Partner to budget holders in the business

be responsible for the delivery of core financial information to management

lead an effective budget setting and performance reporting process

support managers with business case preparation

lead and manage the accounting for capital expenditure

lead the financial year end and manage the audit
You will be a customer-focused leader of the finance reporting function, with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people. You will be numerically strong with sound financial principles. You will have relevant skill and desire to develop your team to meet the current and future demands of an effective finance reporting function.

Experience preparing financial and management accounts

Qualified Accountant or Finalist

Experience managing and developing staff, including motivating staff to achieve the highest standards of work performance

Recent, relevant experience of producing statutory financial accounts from trial balance

A hands-on approach to delivery

You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.
