Prepare project schedules – build and maintain a baseline schedule identifying critical path, resources, work breakdown structure, milestones, coding and document this in a Basis of Schedule.

Participate and chair interactive planning workshops ensuring comprehensive schedules are developed using best practice and benchmarking data.

Ensure all activities are logic linked and aligned with the project deliverables, project execution plan and contracting strategy.

Update the schedule progress in accordance with processes and procedures validating the work completed.

Identify and explain variances between current schedule, plan, earned value and forecasts and communicate these clearly to the project team. These will include key performance indicators such as Earned Value, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index.

Work alongside the cost controller to identify key variances between the schedule and the costs.

Work with the project team to identify resources and man hours required to complete the project activities and keep these updated throughout the project, working alongside the cost controller.

Prepare project reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis and lead progress communications and update meetings.

Proficient in MS office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.

Preferrable knowledge in Primavera P6 and ability to learn new software as and when required.

Knowledge of project management techniques (i.e. critical path method, progress measurement and earned value technique).

Preferrable experience in project planning, analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of adhering to policies and procedures.

Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail – solid report writing, communication and presentation skills. Effective problem solving and strong analytical skills.
