Our client based in the Portsmouth area is a company who specialise in engineering innovation in the Marine sector. They are looking to recruit a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for pioneering marine electrical solutions. Responsibilities will include Design and implementation of large marine electrical installations, focusing on the company innovative product. Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants. Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments. Utilize professional drawing package EPlan. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into our cutting-edge marine technology solutions. Provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout. Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience in marine or industrial control electrical installations, demonstrating a competence with electrical installations and panel design. understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector. Experience in ATEX/IEC Ex rated installations is desired. Proficiency with professional electrical drawing package EPlan is desired. Training can be given if required. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse team.
