Purpose Of Post : The postholder will be responsible for the flow of material throughout the Production Line, ensuring that Production operatives have the correct quantities of material delivered to them on time and to the correct location. The postholder will control any deviations from the material standard and implement corrective action to prevent future occurrences. Key Tasks : Evaluate rebuys on a daily basis raised on the R2 system. Raise all rebuys and rejects for area of responsibility Investigate and resolve parts that have been lost by completing Stock Reconciliations on all high frequency parts. Investigate damaged parts and establish corrective actions for all high frequency parts. Liaise with appropriate departments to rectify reoccurring problems. Ensure all rejects from Production are properly documented and returned to the Stores Ensure there are no outstanding purchase orders for rejects or rebuys and liaise with purchasing have these parts delivered. Record and present all corrective actions or issues that arise from daily investigations. Participate in daily Purchasing and Production meetings and action critical items Report daily to Department Manager on issues and constraints Develop a Logistic support plan to assist in reducing rebuys. Establish contingency plans to ensure that material is always available for production Assist in controlling Excess stock; ensuring Planning/Engineering rectify the BOM, purchasing are notified of any changes and liaise all changes with Production and Material Coordinators. Control Material Train Audits and take corrective action to ensure correct parts and quantities are available to the operatives, ensuring you relay all such issues and action taken to your department manager. Have a daily working knowledge of all issues throughout the build associated to the Line you are responsible for. Project Manage the material requirement for each contract, line you are responsible for, resolving the issues, and providing the information related to all issues to the line supervisors and department manager(s) speedily. Proactively problem solve all issues, take steps to prevent repeat ofsuch issues. Control the flow of information specific to materials, ensuring the relative personnel (such as line supervisors, dept managers) are made aware of all such information. Control or participate (as directed) any additional checks, operations as directed to do so by the department manager. Take steps to ensure you control the flow of materials to the line. Actively take steps to prevent damage of materials once delivered to the line. Participate in Stock Take if required Any other duties as requested by Senior Management from time to time.
