Senior Family Support Worker Birmingham 09/12/2024 – 3 months initially Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 5.15pm, 36.5 hrs/week – Hybrid (support to children and families is face to face) Our client are seeking a Higher-Level Family Support Worker to join a team in the NWC Assessment and Short Term Intervention space. Manage a work load between 12-15 families Establish a high standard of practice that provides a timely response to children, young people and their families and achieves family outcomes Act as a champion in a specific practice area such as domestic abuse, parental conflict, mental health or substance misuse on behalf of the team/service supporting delivery of workshops and providing advice and support where relevant Use a common assessment to identify and where appropriate be the lead practitioner to coordinate the implementation of a multi-agency plan of intervention Deliver evidenced based interventions to positively affect changes that safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people Provide a timely response to the identified needs of children and young people Work closely with colleagues who will take on a crucial role with families and you will support social care colleagues in delivering targeted interventions and evidencing practice on a child’s record Work with colleagues in a range of disciplines, sharing knowledge and providing support and advice to deliver the best possible outcomes for local children and their families Report writing and record keeping, accounting for decisions taken and interventions provided Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary Requirements NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification Experience of working in early help and prevention Experience of working in a multi-agency forum Experience working under pressure and dealing with conflicting demands whilst adhering to strict deadlines Excellent communication skills Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
