At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand Prix winner George Russell. About the Role: We are looking for an experienced developer to join our IT department and deliver modern digital solutions to business automation and dashboarding requests. The successful candidate will be part of a growing centre of competency delivering business process automation and data analytics solutions. This role provides the opportunity to enable transformational change across many business functions, by promoting operational excellence through automation development and helping the business to gain insights from their data. Key Accountabilities (Duties): Analyse automation and reporting requirements expressed by diverse business users. Collaborate with colleagues from the Architecture and the wider IT teams to define solutions. Use tools and methodologies to create representations for process orchestrations, functions, and user interfaces when user interactions are needed. Develop API, services or endpoints when missing from systems involved in these integrations. Develop PowerBI reports and dashboards embedding effective visualisations. Ensure attention to deployment, performance, and maintainability. Embrace the continuous integration process and platform, and the observability principles. Report on progress to project managers and/or business requestors. Ensure developments meet all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc. Provide 1st line support to users or 2nd line expertise to the Tech Support team, troubleshooting and fixing complex issues. Candidate Profile Essential: Experience in software development and coding in various object-oriented languages (C#, Java, etc.). Experience in UI/UX design. Experience in developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions (PowerAutomate, PowerApps, PowerBI). Knowledge of Camunda, Automation Anywhere RPA, Python, Kafka. Familiarity with Spring Boot, HTML/CSS, REST, JavaScript (React.js), Azure DevOps & pipelines. Minimum BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field (MSc/MA preferred). Demonstrable experience working in a comparable role in an enterprise environment. Self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, taking great pride in getting users satisfied. Excellent planning, communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Appetite and ability to work in a fast paced, high frequency change environment. Organised, flexible, proactive and results-oriented. Desirable Knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling. Experience developing APIs and event-driven solutions. Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes. Understanding of software quality assurance principles, and of the Agile methodology.
