Associate 1-5 Years PQE – Debt Capital Markets PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: A unique opportunity to join a growing team of experts, our London Debt Capital Markets team is seeking a finance lawyer (1-5years PQE) with knowledge of DCM matters to work alongside senior lawyers in drafting and managing transactions across a range of matters. THE TEAM: Our clients DCM practice sits within our banking team, which has a strong City presence and is a market-leading team across the rest of the UK. They also act alongside market-leading sector teams within the firm, including top tier housing finance team. Sector expertise across social housing, local authorities and healthcare place us as the firm of choice for DCM transactions in these areas for bookrunners and investors. Our client has an impressive roster of bank clients, for whom they advise as bookrunners on public bond issuances; names such as Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, NatWest Markets and Santander. They also act for the majority of UK institutional investors in privately placed transactions. WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE ROLE: Working on a variety of DCM matters – acting for bookrunners, investors, trustees and issuers across a wide range of public listed and privately placed DCM transactions. Working closely with existing clients to maintain and develop relationships, acting as a trusted advisor capable of providing timely and quality advice whilst managing expectations. Joining a credible and busy team known for providing a platform where you are encouraged to develop, benefitting from Associate specific development programs, as well as 1-2-1 coaching and mentorship. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Circa 1-5years PQE experience of Debt Capital Market transactions. Have experience in drafting documentation for bookrunners and investors, transaction management of public issuances and liaising with the FCA and LSE in debt listing, and current knowledge of applicable regulatory and securities laws and market practice. Has a keen eye for detail, self-motivated and proactive, and confident in building enduring relationships with clients that are based on trust and high-quality service delivery Be inquisitive and want to understand our clients, their drivers and what matters to them, so that your advice has quality, imagination, and impact.
