Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist – South London This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to further develop the clinician skills as well as a leader. You will be the responsible OT to manage the Occupational Therapy Department with the support of Occupational Therapist Assistants. The client group is female and male service users with acute mental health needs, who require support to comply with medication to improve the mental state presentation, build up ADLs and PADLs skills, in addition, to regain confidence and self-esteem to reintegrate into the community by enrolling in new activities and exploring personal interests. The new Occupational Therapist will play a critical role by contributing to service users’ care alongside the MDT. You will be attending ward rounds and daily patient review meeting, besides any other meetings to related to the service user’s care and service compliance. We welcome a clinician with a creative and innovative approach. Main duties of the job * To present as a positive and professional role model to all staff within the unit, striving to maintain a philosophy of service user involvement in continuously improving the service. * To take the professional lead for the overall provision and development of high quality Occupational Therapy within the hospital, asserting your competencies as an OT.
