Capital.com is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to oversee and manage the company’s information technology strategy and infrastructure. This pivotal role will report directly to the COO and will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s technology operations align with its regulatory obligations, business objectives, and future growth plans. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced, regulated financial environment and a strong understanding of the complexities faced by CFD brokers. Key Responsibilities: IT Strategy & Leadership : Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that supports business growth, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Ensure alignment with overall corporate objectives and financial industry regulations. IT Operations & Service Management : Oversee the company’s IT operations, including the management of a 24/7 operations centre and service desk to ensure continuous availability and performance of critical systems and infrastructure. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the highest levels of data protection and IT system integrity, meeting the requirements of financial authorities in all of our jurisdictions. Infrastructure Management : Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable IT infrastructure and resilient networks, both on-prem and cloud. Digital Transformation & Innovation : Spearhead initiatives to modernise and innovate the company’s technology stack, enhancing customer and employee experiences. Vendor & Stakeholder Management : Cultivate and manage relationships with critical technology partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Team Leadership & Development : Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity : Establish and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Budget & Asset Management : Manage the IT budget and drive IT asset management practices. Employee Technology Experience : Ensure that all employees have the necessary tools, support, and technology to perform their roles effectively. Key Requirements: Experience: 10+ years of experience in senior IT leadership, ideally within a regulated financial services environment. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in financial services. Technical Expertise: Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and various endpoint devices. Leadership: A proven track record in leading and managing diverse IT teams. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-Solving: Strategic and forward-thinking with robust problem-solving capabilities.
