Commercial Accountant / Financial Business Partner- Projects & Technology West Midlands Hybrid 2-3 days in office per week. Financial Services £50000-£60000 + bonus + benefit Fantastic commercial finance opportunity / finance business partner role with a fast-moving, change-oriented FTSE 250 plc. This role is ideally suited to a newly/recently qualified accountant – CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent. Reporting to Senior Commercial Finance Manager and working closely with Head of Commercial Finance. Supporting the business to enable senior management in making informed decisions driving the businesses technology transformation strategy. Holding the business accountable to project implementation costs, tracking benefits and partnering with technology to manage performance. Responsibilities: Creating technology transformation project business cases Tracking and challenging on costs during project implementation Tracking costs and benefits post project implementation Fully understanding our technology estate and partnering with the business to manage performance and identify cost efficiencies Providing commercial analysis & Insight Operational Performance monitoring Holding the business accountable Month end P&l Variance analysis – Detailed story Internal management reporting Ensure ownership & accountability of key stakeholders Production & delivery of budgets/forecasts Creation of operational plan alongside key stakeholders Establish & monitor KPI’s Development capex review Requirements: Our client is looking for a newly / recently qualified finance professional to join the team at this time of exciting change. You will have a track record in commercial finance / business partnering / FP&A and be looking to progress your career to the next step. You will have excellent communication skills coupled with strong motivation to learn and improve. Educated to degree level or equivalent Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience of working in financial services industry preferable but not essential Provide evidence-based recommendations and influence decisions using insights Produce professional reports Understand the financial performance of business Business partnering at all levels including senior management Proactive and positive change agent Work autonomously and as part of a team Employ a flexible business partnering approach Communicate complicated information to a wide range of audiences Composure under pressure and experience of managing in challenging and pressured circumstances Prioritise workload and meet deadlines A team player who can work with stakeholder in other functions to achieve objectives.
