Are you a private practice lawyer looking to make your first step in-house? Are you looking to work for a flagship brand within financial services? Are you a private funds lawyer exposed to private equity, private credit, and infrastructure/real estate asset classes? I am working with a globally recognized institution seeking a dynamic lawyer to join its EMEA legal team. The institution operates in a range of asset classes, but you will focus on private equity, private credit, and real estate; as such, experience in these asset classes would be advantageous. You will get your teeth into cutting-edge work and be well-supported with external counsel. While funds work will play a large part in this role, there will be transactional work to support across a range of asset classes, and corporate lawyers that have both funds formation and transactional experience will be welcome. Responsibilities: Advising, structuring, and executing new fund proposals for IM, potentially ranging from complex structured retail offerings to bespoke alternative fund-of-one strategies, Advising on the maintenance, operation, and distribution of existing fund platforms domiciled in the region, providing advisory support for the onboarding of new investors, and advising the portfolio management team Assessing the impact of new regulation on the business and contributing to structural changes (whether corporate or regulatory) and subsequent execution; and What are they looking for? 8-10PQE either in-house or in a major law firm (sponsor side experience would be a bonus) Working knowledge of funds formation, governance, and advisory. Experience in representing companies and private investment funds in M&A transactions (ideally within Private Equity) Experience in real estate and/or infrastructure investments is helpful. Understanding of financial regulation (including MIFID, AIFMD, SFDR) and potentially US regulations such as Volcker)); What is on offer?
