Due to continued expansion, my Essex-based client, a designer and manufacturer of signal switching and simulation solutions for high-performance electronics test and verification applications, is looking to increase their engineering test and customer support capacity. They are seeking an Integration Software Engineer to join their growing team based in Essex. As an Integration Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems. Working closely with customers, you will analyse their requirements, select appropriate hardware, and design software tailored to their specific needs. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performing ATE solutions. Key Responsibilities Analyse and support customer requirements. Provide software and hardware solutions for production test departments. Generate customer-focused documentation. Maintain and improve current software applications. Collaborate with teams to conceptualise and develop innovative solutions for customers. Troubleshoot, optimise, and integrate ATE solutions. Skills & Experience required for the Integration Software Engineer Essential: Proficiency in C / C++ programming on Windows and Linux platforms. Familiarity with object-oriented languages such as C# and Python. Experience using IDEs like Visual Studio and JetBrains. Knowledge of version control systems, particularly GIT. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience interfacing with PC hardware. Basic knowledge of electronics and fundamental principles. Desirable: Experience in the Test and Measurement industry. Understanding of international standards like PXI, LXI, VISA, IVI. Familiarity with embedded systems development.
