Magento QA Engineer

Senior QA Engineer (E-Commerce / Remote) Remote in UK Outside IR 35 6 Month Contract Up to £340 per day We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in e-commerce environments (Magento 2). This role involves testing modern web applications and APIs, automating tests, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This is a remote position , ideal for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough manual and automated testing of web applications , GraphQL , and REST APIs . Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript . Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans. Manage and track issues using tools such as Jira or Asana . Document and organize test cases using TestRail or similar tools. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure performance, usability, and security standards are met. Required Skills & Experience 6 years in software quality assurance Strong experience in e-commerce projects, ideally with Magento 2 Expertise in API testing (GraphQL, REST) Hands-on with test automation frameworks, especially Playwright TypeScript Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines Proficient in using Jira , Asana , and TestRail Excellent written and spoken English communication Experience working in Agile teams Familiarity with AWS A mindset geared toward continuous improvement ISTQB or similar QA certifications Tools & Technology Automation & Scripting : Playwright, TypeScript Version Control & CI/CD : Git, GitHub Actions Project Management : Jira, Asana Test Management : TestRail Cloud & Infrastructure : AWS, Docker (optional but valuable) Development Principles : OOP, SOLID, design patterns
