Proficient in IT, you can navigate systems like Excel and Word, and have the capability to maintain accurate electronic records. Your ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential, as is your courteous manner when dealing with the public. You work well both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a flexible, can-do attitude and excellent initiative. A full driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential to fulfill the role’s travel requirements. What the Job Involves As a Reablement Officer, your role involves providing comprehensive support to service users, aiding in the planning and achievement of their care and health outcomes. Collaborating closely with the therapy team, you will implement reablement plans, and use your trusted assessor training to prescribe necessary equipment to aid independence. You will work with service users in assessing, designing, planning, and supporting care plans to maximize their development. In addition to fostering effective relationships with service users, you will assist with the induction and job training of new colleagues. Your responsibilities include promoting user participation and inclusion, collaborating with other professionals and agencies, maintaining compliance with Council policies, and efficiently managing resources. Alongside offering direct support, you must handle administrative tasks, including accurate data entry, and ensure adherence to safety and information security protocols while contributing positively to team outcomes.
