The Role: Junior Key Account Manager (Automotive Channel)

What You’ll Do:

  • Join our dynamic team as a Junior Key Account Manager and drive sales growth across leading automotive groups.
  • Explore new business opportunities with regional motor factors, fast-fit centers, and commercial automotive organisations.
  • Engage directly with end-user automotive companies, providing on-site technical support and training.
  • Maximise opportunities for new product listings and capture competitive business in the Automotive Power Tools sector, with a focus on achieving 85% penetration and adding value with Hand Tools.
  • Spend 2-3 days a week working with national accounts, supporting branch-level initiatives and end-user workouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account service levels.
  • Design and implement account development plans for the automotive channel.
  • Negotiate range pricing and promotional deals.
  • Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide Business Unit Controllers and team members with this feedback.
  • Maintain a database of account information containing: contacts, product range, pricing and margins.
  • Monitor procedures to provide best possible customer service.
  • Effectively manage the available sales time and account activity, to deliver the desired performance.
  • Continually develop in depth technical knowledge of product and marketplace.
  • Gain maximum account penetration and distribution of new products.

  • Key Account knowledge / experience.
  • Understanding of Automotive an advantage.
  • Driver’s license: Full.
