Our client is considered as experts in the design and manufacture of bespoke automation for the aerospace, automotive and renewable energy industries.

Role Summary:

This is a role that can be moulded depending on the person, both in terms of seniority and the day to day. You can be involved in the project from initial customer meeting and concept of bespoke automation, through to commissioning on-site across Europe.

Electrical Engineer responsibilities can include:

  • Working with customer on developing PLCs.
  • The design and development of the electrical aspects of automation for new and existing customers.
  • The reviewing of customers technical requirements in order to create electrical machine specifications within a multi-disciplined engineering design team.
  • The production of electrical design schematics and panel layouts to meet system specifications.
  • The production and maintenance of BOM's (Bills of Materials) from concept to the issuing of drawings to production on Solidworks Electrical 2D CAD.
  • The development of the machine scope, needed for the manufacture of the automated equipment and the production of multilevel BOM's.
  • Being a key member of the project teams from start to finish and also being part of other project teams.
  • Understanding customer requirements and adhering to customer URS (User Requirement Specifications).
  • Ensuring product design is thoroughly reviewed with regard to manufacturing feasibility.

Senior Electrical Engineer will possess:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or HND minimum.
  • Electrical design knowledge.
  • Familiar with PLC control systems.
  • Experience with engineering systems.
  • Experience or Siemens or Omron, and EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Demonstrable and significant proven experience in a production engineering environment.
  • Significant experience in fault finding in control systems.

In return, you will work in a flexible working environment (Monday to Friday days based), working alongside experts in their field. Our client is also very willing to support with training and development.
