Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Company Overview:

We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced water pumping systems and fluid handling solutions used across critical infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for engineering excellence, innovation, and reliability, we serve major UK water utilities, contractors, and consulting engineers. Our products are central to ensuring water supply, wastewater management, and flood resilience.

As we continue to expand our footprint in the UK market, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of our sales operations across Southern England, with a key focus on strategic relationships and new business development in the water sector.

Role Summary:

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be the commercial lead for our Southern territory, responsible for managing strategic accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue through both direct and specification-led sales. This is a highly visible role with the autonomy to shape the region’s performance while representing a respected and innovative brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Manage a portfolio of existing utility clients (e.g., Thames Water, Southern Water, South West Water), ensuring high levels of engagement and repeat business. Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities through direct sales and specification with consultants and contractors. Lead the development of long-term strategic relationships across utility stakeholders and procurement frameworks.
  • Technical and Commercial Expertise: Serve as the regional subject matter expert on pumping equipment, fluid dynamics, and system integration, supported by internal technical specialists. Assist clients with pump selection, system design considerations, and energy efficiency optimization. Prepare and deliver detailed technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Project and Account Management: Track and manage the full sales cycle – from enquiry, proposal, and tender submission, to contract award and aftersales support. Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline reports to support national sales strategy and resource planning.
  • Market & Sector Insight: Monitor changes in legislation, framework agreements (e.g., AMP cycles), and investment priorities across the water industry. Analyse competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing, positioning, and product development.

Candidate Profile:

Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical B2B sales role, ideally in pumping systems, mechanical/electrical equipment, or engineered solutions. Strong track record of sales growth and key account development within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate complex contracts. Comfortable working independently, managing a large geographic territory. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Southern England.

If you think this role could be for you, I look forward to receiving your application!
