Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCO to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading our Special Educational Needs provision, ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the highest quality support and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy.
  • Coordinate and manage the provision for students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide training and support to staff on SEN best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
