Introduction to Wild by Tart: Wild by Tart is a neighbourhood restaurant set within a multipurpose space. Housed in a former power station and coal store, the 9,000 sq. ft, light filled space combines a restaurant, bar, retail store, events space, and photography studio. Our cooking is driven by seasonal, local produce, with a creative and flavour-focused approach. We are passionate about cultivating an inspiring and welcoming environment, both for our guests to enjoy and for our team to thrive in.
Group reservations and events are an integral part of Wild by Tart, wherein we host an incredible variety of occasions, from intimate fashion press dinners for 9 to 350-person product launches, weddings, celebrations, and photography shoots.
Aim:
- To maximise all revenue opportunities, contributing to the overall budget for the business, restaurant and events
- To manage and convert incoming groups and event sales enquiries
- To report on groups and event sales and bookings, ensuring all departments are updated on both confirmed and pipeline business
- To provide excellent customer service throughout the sales and booking process
- To build and develop meaningful client relationships to ensure repeat business and maintain a positive brand image
Key responsibilities:
Sales
- Understanding of the business sales targets and to work towards all sales strategies
- Receive incoming enquiries in accordance with department standards and procedures and convert them into confirmed business
- To prepare responses and proposals for new enquiries, ensuring information shared is tailored to the client/guest’s specific requirements
- All sales procedures and administration are completed to set deadlines i.e. enquiry response times, follow-ups etc
- To grow and maintain strong relationships with regular bookers and clients
- To meet with prospective clients and show them around the venue facilities
- To effectively manage the restaurant and events booking systems and calendars
- To undertake appropriate administrative tasks for the department as required
- To report sales and bookings on a weekly basis
- To attend networking events and showcase events, working to promote the brand
- Promote each event area and offerings in an engaging and informative way to both corporate and private clients
- Work alongside the marketing schedule and strategy to drive groups and event business
- Maintain strong knowledge of latest trends in the hospitality industry
- Responsible for managing client’s event budgets
Contracting & Booking
- Ensure all contracts are issued and signed in accordance with Wild by Tart’s policies and procedures and deposits are received as required
- Ensure all group bookings are issued with payment terms in accordance with Wild by Tart’s policies and procedures
- All necessary information is shared with respective departments, ensuring well-informed handovers
Finance
- Ensure all event invoices, deposits and reports are shared and completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare all relevant documentation for weekly and monthly meetings
- Maximise revenue - working to budgets and targets while maintaining agreed service standards
Health and Safety
- Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
- Understand all fire, first aid and accident procedures
- Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and the team at all times
- Maintain clean and tidy-working areas at all times

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in venue of similar size
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Excellent written skills and ability to write personable, persuasive and professional emails
- Able to work on own initiative and self-motivated
- Meticulous organisation and attention to detail, able to prioritise a demanding workload

- Level-headed and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
