I'm recruiting for a QA/Software Test Engineer to join my client based in the centre of Bristol. Due to the nature of the work, this is a fully office-based role from their office in the city centre, with flexibility around core working hours. It’s a great fit for someone who thrives in a close knit, skilled QA team and enjoys being hands on in a collaborative, tech driven environment.
This company operates at the cutting edge of smart, connected TV technology, offering the chance to work on exciting, innovative projects that have real world impact. You’ll be part of a passionate team of engineers and QA professionals, gain exposure to a variety of tools and processes, and contribute to products used by millions of people.
You’ll be joining a team of 10 QAs, split across manual and automation, and will be primarily responsible for manual testing across both front-end and back-end systems that integrate into physical devices. This is a hands-on role involving a wide range of testing types. While the focus is currently on manual testing, there may be future opportunities to get involved in automation depending on your interests and the needs of the team.
The company is open to candidates at different stages of their testing career, from early career testers through to more experienced test engineers. What’s most important is strong communication skills (you may occasionally be involved in client calls), a proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are key. Experience testing smart or connected devices would be a nice bonus, but it’s not essential.
In return, you'll receive a salary of up to £40,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package including a company pension, life insurance, cycle to work scheme, and free eye care. You'll also benefit from tailored training opportunities and a clear path for career progression.
