Central Employment are working with a global electronic products manufacturer, as they look to expand their in-house Marketing team, with the appointment of an Internal Communications Specialist. Newcastle upon Tyne based, 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home. Up to £42k DOE + benefits.

Internal Communications Specialist profile: The newly appointed Internal Communications Specialist will develop and execute internal communications strategies to drive business efficiency and maintain a high employer brand profile.

Main responsibilities will be:

  • Implementation of the annual internal communications plan
  • Monthly programme of corporate updates showcasing excellent work, best practice and latest news
  • Content creation for the quarterly staff newsletter
  • The creation of film and written content to support employer brand communication
  • The creation of film and written content to support internal initiatives (including the launch of new benefits, processes and procedures, promotion of events etc.)
  • The effective running of a series of company events across the year
  • The creation of branded materials to support the work of the People and Culture team
  • Support for other aspects of the marketing function, as required
  • Understanding the business strategy and where they fit within this
  • Quarterly newsletter – this has been on pause, but there is a clear set of requirements to follow and will use their journalistic skills to gather relevant information
  • Corporate update, gathering of information across the business, leadership led. Will create PowerPoint slides which summarise the main things that have been going on over the month
  • Deliver content/campaigns that operational staff can access
  • Employer brand responsibility

Essential experience required:

  • 3+ years within a similar internal communications role, gained within a B2B/technical environment
  • To succeed in this role, you will have an inquisitive, creative approach to fostering and delivering communication, be highly collaborative and genuinely enthusiastic about what you do
  • You will also have a degree-level qualification or equivalent, or proof of significant relevant experience in a similar role where excellent writing and organisational skills were essential
