We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy team in Hemel Hempstead. They manufacture high precision parts and components for the Aerospace sector in a clean and modern environment. This is a fixed term contract of a three month period.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce components to customer specification.
- Working with Planning, Quality and other teams on repeat and NPI jobs to develop manufacturing methods.
- Ensure accurate job timings are recorded within the Company's ERP system.
- Maintain 6s standards within the shop floor.
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities - improving processes with small tweaks or complete re-engineering.
Experience and Skills:
- Previous aerospace experience or similar is required.
- Competent in setting and operating CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls.
- CMZ Turning experience would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of working with a range of materials.
- Either apprentice trained or qualified by experience.
- Candidate must be capable of operating without supervision and have the capability to problem solve.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 4pm-Midnight
