UK Fleet Manager (Operational & strategic) Salary: £70,000k – £80,000k package Full time permanent Location: Teesside HGV Transport organisation Sector: Logistics, UK Road Fleet engineering This is an excellent opportunity to join a large organisation in a UK Fleet Manager appointment. You will be coordinating UK, global assets, HGV fleet maintenance, ensuring compliance of the fleet – day-to-day + working closely with operations + special projects and specific technical logistics specifications. This is a new additional role to the logistics team and you will be able to add real value to the organisation. Key Areas: – • Global logistics & supply chain asset maintenance • UK Fleet management – fast-paced operation • Commercial, operational & strategic support on the procurement of new assets • Being self-motivated, solutions focused and a credible, first-class communicator Responsibilities * Head – of HGV fleet engineering * Fleet procurement and maintenance whilst developing strategies to ensure that fleet availability and utilisation is optimised * Day-to-day management of our fleet but also provide guidance on commercial / operational new business tenders * Manage operational spending in line with budgets. * Establishment of budgets and KPI’s * Coordinate and manage all plant and UK Fleet maintenance programmes in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations & warranties – network with our main suppliers * Investigate any accident damage and review the root causes + complete reports & follow up actions * Fleet administration & compliance experience. * Ensuring global asset maintenance costs are minimised and budgets are met * Negotiation with customers / suppliers * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. * Have a real focus on Health & Safety * Technical engineering expertise. * Good knowledge of IT e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
