A prestigious professional membership organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Planning Manager to provide leadership to their business accounts team, guiding them in the provision of financial modelling and insights and taking responsibility for the organisation’s budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Planning Manager:

  • Manage and direct the work of the business accounting team, ensuring an effective finance business partner service is provided and supporting the continuous development of team members.
  • Work in conjunction with other senior staff members to develop management reporting and analysis for all areas of the organisation, leading any improvements.
  • Lead on developing and further evolving the organisation’s costing models and methodologies.
  • Oversee the continued improvement of the budgetary control system.
  • Support the financial accounts team to deliver the month end processes.
  • Represent the finance department at board meetings, drafting tailored papers as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification as an accountant (CCAB-recognised).
  • Direct line management experience and extensive experience in a business partnering capacity, developing and managing effective financial budgeting models.
  • Expertise in an accounting software package and hands-on knowledge of regulations for tax, PAYE and VAT.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to use present complex modelling tools to provide insights, conveying this in reports and briefings to inform effective decision making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • £84,500 per annum.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Hybrid working pattern, office in Central London with provision for remote working for part of the week.
  • Excellent package of benefits, including up to 32 days’ annual leave.
