An Environmental and Planning Lawyer is required to join a major utilities company based in the South East on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be able to get involved with interesting work of national importance from the outset and will join an experienced, dynamic, and close-knit team. The role offers flexible working arrangements, but ideally, attendance at the office in the South East twice a week is expected.
As an Environmental and Planning Lawyer, your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Provide focused, accurate, effective, and timely advice on a range of environmental and planning legal matters
- Assisting with Environmental Information Regulation queries
- Managing external legal resources
- Providing legal support on ongoing, large-scale programmes and projects
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Qualified as a lawyer (solicitor, barrister or equivalent)
- Experience in Environmental and Planning Law
- An ability to collaborate well as a team player and take on managerial responsibilities
- Those with public sector or private practice experience are encouraged to apply; previous in-house experience would also be beneficial but not necessary
