About Our Client
Our Global Markets e-Trading Technology teams deliver front-office technology solutions to support e-Trading desks and clients worldwide. The Rates/FX Pricing Platform team specialises in developing software systems that provide Pricing functionality for e-Trading workflows across major global hubs in London, New York & offices in Asia.
The Role
As Director of Rates/FX Pricing Platform, you will manage and oversee the design and development of a common pricing platform across Rates/FX, ensuring technical excellence while aligning business objectives with technology strategy. You will provide leadership and oversight for technical leads and developers, fostering innovation and driving impactful solutions across the organisation.
- Providing technical leadership for the design, development, and innovation of the platform, leveraging expert knowledge in front-office pricing technology.
- Collaborating with developers, traders, and quants to agree on business requirements and ensure effective functionality.
- Interpreting business requirements and facilitating technical ideation for innovative solutions.
- Enforcing policy and standards in the development and deployment of applications.
- Overseeing recruitment and the development of new team members, ensuring long-term success.
- Communicating delivery status and project milestones to key stakeholders.
- Developing relationships across technology teams to align workflows and co-deliver overall business workflows.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience leading the design and development of high-availability, distributed platforms in the Front Office Pricing domain.
- Proven ability to manage and direct small teams of technical experts.
- Strong expertise in providing technical guidance to developers, overseeing project implementation and managing a pipeline of BAU enhancement/fixes.
- Technical/Development background, preferably with server-side C# development experience.
- Deep expertise in FX/Rates products and their application in pricing and e-Trading workflows.
- Strong motivation to work directly with traders and research quants.
- Multi-stakeholder arbitration - ability to navigate competing priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - fostering collaboration across teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - driving forward-thinking solutions.
