Salary: £50-£53,500
Are you looking to join a print & packaging business that is committed to growth and a key player in its market? This business delivers quality, time-sensitive printed products to a range of high profile clients, and are looking for a capable print professional who is confident working in a large scale print manufacturing environment.
You will be joining an experienced and talented manufacturing team, adding your knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to theirs, and sharing your press or bindery management skills with your teams. Day to day, you will take responsibility for managing a key manufacturing shift across the press and bindery, taking responsibility for all manufacturing and shop floor people related issues during the shift. You will be working closely with the Senior Operations and Manufacturing Managers, being the key link between office and shop floor in a very fast-paced print manufacturing environment.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Print or Bindery management experience in a time sensitive production environment (Newspapers, Packaging, Books, Magazines)
- Experience managing diverse skilled and semi-skilled operators and assistants in a time sensitive production environment.
- Good technical experience within litho or web offset print and high speed bindery would be an added benefit.
- Experience working with your manufacturing teams to ensure all health and safety, product quality, workplace discipline and equipment care requirements are met on a daily basis.
- Experience working in a day and night shift based print environment.
- Working actively to help the team deliver against production targets, as well as experience working to eliminate or reduce wastage.
