The Client: The Founders established the business just under 10 years ago after growing frustrated with the never-ending obstacles at the corporate firms.
The consultancy has ambitious plans for the future, aiming to double their turnover within two years.
Transparent career progression is at the forefront of their business model, learning from their own frustrations. Two employees have earned shares in their company, with a third due to follow shortly.
Bonuses are heavily incentivised too. They are aware of how demanding the job can be at times; your efforts should be rewarded. You can earn anything between 10% – 30%, with 20% being the average recently.
As a smaller consultancy, the culture is essential to the long-term success of the business. You can look forward to annual ski-trips, company days out, and Thursday team lunches.
They are conveniently located a short five-minute walk from the accessible London Bridge station, in state-of-the-art offices.
The Role: This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving business and set up a Quantity Surveying team within an established consultancy.
My client is looking for an ambitious, business-minded individual that wants to be involved with the overall strategy and long-term success of the company.
Your job will entail a combination of BD, delivery, strategy, and managing/mentoring.
You don’t have to be in a position to immediately bring work with you, although that would be preferable.
If you have people already in mind that you would like to bring with you, my client is in a position to facilitate this.
Currently, the consultancy is made up of 20 Project Managers working across prime residential (40%), commercial offices (40%), and mixed-use (20%) projects predominately within London.
With values ranging from £3M – £300M. However, you can branch out into any sector of your choice.

Requirements for the Director (QS):
- 6+ years’ experience with a UK-based property/construction consultancy (ideally)
- BD experience/strong client contacts
- MRICS/MCIOB qualified
- JCT Contract Administration
- Experience in one of their listed sectors (ideally)
