*Senior Scrub Nurse SFA* *Salary*: £50,000 *Location:* London *Hours of Work: Earlies, Lates & On-call participation – 37.5 hours – Monday – Saturday* *Senior Scrub Nurse SFA* Our private client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Scrub Nurse/SFA to join their well-renowned private hospital *Senior Scrub Nurse SFA* *Main Roles & Responsibilities:* · Serve as a Senior Scrub Practitioner across multiple specialities, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Robotics, Gynaecology, and Urology, etc · Ensure the correct preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, following aseptic techniques to safeguard patient safety. · Provide skilled assistance to surgeons during complex surgical procedures, anticipating needs and responding efficiently to evolving situations. · Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery, ensuring effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. · Ensure accurate documentation of perioperative care and any interventions performed in compliance with clinical standards. · Oversee the preparation and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment required for procedures across various specialities. · Ensure equipment is maintained and available when needed, reporting any issues promptly. · Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, nurses, and anaesthetists, to ensure seamless coordination in the operating theatre. · Communicate effectively with team members to optimise patient outcomes and workflow efficiency. *Requirements: * · Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid registration. · Extensive experience as a Scrub Practitioner in a range of specialities, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Robotics, Gynaecology, and Urology. · Proven ability to lead surgical teams, demonstrating excellent leadership, decision-making, and mentoring skills. · Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, patient safety protocols, and surgical procedures across a wide variety of specialities. · Commitment to continuous professional development and education. · Post-graduate qualification in perioperative nursing or other relevant fields. · Experience in conducting clinical audits and contributing to quality improvement projects. · Proven experience in supporting junior staff development through teaching and mentoring*.* · A surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification, with experience assisting in surgeries is desirable. *Senior Scrub Nurse SFA* *Please apply today!* If you or anyone you know may be interested, please apply with your most up to date CV!
