Civil Design Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer on behalf of a civil engineering / water main contractor.\\n\\nThis reputable Water / Utilities contractor are growing and in need of a Design Engineer or Senior to supplement their growing in-house design team. The work is covering the Yorkshire Water framework mainly with some involvement potentially on United Utilities also if needed. This contractor has a turnover of £500m+ and is established internationally, they're a well known specialist with large / heavy civil engineering, water, tunnelling & structures.\\n\\nThe successful Engineer will be responsible for in-house design & coordinating external design consultancies on Civil Engineering works on: Major Water Treatment works and storm tanks (projects from £500k to £20m+).\\n\\nThis role is based out of an office in Leeds with regular site visits and offers hybrid working & flexibility.\\n\\nDuties as Design Engineer:\\n\\n * Detailed design work on water projects: waste water and clean water.\\n\\n * Allocating and managing CAD output from technicians.\\n\\n * Represent company in meetings, client & stakeholder interactions.\\n\\n * Undertake site visits to gather information & data.\\n\\n * Working with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery on site.\\n\\n * Documentation & drawing reviews.\\n\\nExperience Required as Design Engineer:\\n\\n * Must have experience working as Design Engineer for a civil engineering contractor delivering heavy civil engineering work\\n\\n * Must have experience dealing with clients & external stakeholders\\n\\n * Ideally have knowledge with waste water design including: attenuation / drainage design and balancing\\n\\n * Must have fluent IT & English writing skills.\\n\\n * Experience with AutoCAD beneficial.\\n\\nRemuneration:\\n\\nOn offer is a salary of up to £55,000 (dependant upon experience) plus package.\\n(Car allowance, pension, fuel scheme, holidays, healthcare etc.).\\n\\nFor more info please contact Andy Gray at Elvet Recruitment
