LOCATION(S): London, Basildon, or Birmingham
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.
About this opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Cardnet to join our Transactional banking sales team, as a relationship and sales manager. You will be responsible for the growth of the Financial Services sector, being a sector specialist. You’ll oversee the whole sector, leading through our bank, industry, mentoring other colleagues in the industry, managing Cardnet’s strategic financial sector clients, as well as growing the front book in this sector. You will manage customer relationships and implement new client sales strategies to increase market share. You’ll be an experienced sales professional, with a proven track record of winning clients winning, managing and growing clients in a large corporate market, within the financial services sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and lead a financial services sector strategy, becoming a leader in the industry.
- Work with Product/go to market to deliver a full FS sector strategy for Cardnet and other payments products.
- Develops Cardnet solutions within our largest clients to generate new opportunities for VAS, product and core acquiring, working with Cardnet and its partners.
- Maintain relationships with CIC our largest customers, to ensure their needs are met, reacting to any questions or concerns and proactively managing pricing, cascades, RFPs, business updates, into your clients.
- Track performance of your portfolio by managing your P&L, analysing data and understanding trends.
- Handle meaningful Banking and Cardnet client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues to maintain and grow the relationship.
- Uncovers emerging issues and/or needs and identifies potential causes, related issues informing key partners with suggested solutions.
- Leads the transition and implementation of a ‘New’ relationship in conjunction with appropriate partners.

What we need from you?
- Background in payments with experience formulating and driving long-term strategic account plans and opportunity pipelines preferably in the finance sector
- Excellent communication skills with both external clients and internal partners.
- Proven negotiation skills at various levels including Board, Middle Management and Operational Delivery.
- Ability to successfully handle sales deals through the sales process, negotiation, and contract signature, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
