The Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for delivering a wide variety of ecological projects. You will collaborate with technical specialists, mentor junior team members, and engage with clients to provide expert advice.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage complex ecological projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality outcomes.

About You

You will be an experienced ecologist with a strong understanding of UK environmental legislation, habitat assessments, and protected species surveys. You will have excellent project management skills and the ability to nurture junior team members.

Essential:

  • Degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ecological survey methodologies, species identification, and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Experience in managing projects and mentoring team members.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for promoting sustainable solutions.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 bat licence or ornithological expertise (highly valued).
  • Experience delivering training for junior ecologists.
