ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Senior Strategist to join our strategy team on a freelance basis for a 2 β 3 month engagement to work on an exciting new digital experience project for a new client.
Working in a multidisciplinary team with our UX and UI designers, developers, and project managers you will have the opportunity to use your full range of strategic thinking and doing skills.
You will be passionate and knowledgeable about the world of digital experience and design and have a strong grasp of the digital ecosystem and the impact of paid, owned and earned digital channels for customers and client brands.
Key to success of the role will be your ability to bridge between strategy and execution, finding the right balance between big picture strategic thinking and a tactical mindset to turn those visions into reality.
Whilst an understanding of comms is important, we are not looking for a Brand Planner, applicants should be experienced in digital experience strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analysis of client documentation, strategies and performance to understand the current customer base and ecosystem
- Conducting desk and possibly primary research to identify key needs and trends and connect these with client goals and opportunities
- Identify insights into cross-ecosystem journeys and help to build a picture of the βAs Isβ state
- Building a strategic framework or vision to articulate the opportunity and direction of the project
- Facilitating workshops to bring clarity and direction to client and internal teams
- Collaborate with the UX/UI design, development, and delivery teams to develop a view of the future ecosystem and customer journeys and identify solutions to bring this to life
- Advise client on measurement best practices to help drive continuous improvement
- Translate the strategy and vision into an actionable, prioritised roadmap that considers the experience we want to deliver and the client capability required to deliver it
- Develop compelling presentations to put forward our recommendations
ABOUT YOU:
- Strong foundation in digital experience with a passion for delivering value & user-centric solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity and ability to make sense of complex client challenges
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for senior audiences (internal and client stakeholders)
- Data literacy and experience working with and briefing data analysts
- Proficiency in developing product roadmaps (and backlogs) to turn strategy into execution
- Understanding of what is needed to inform high-level business cases
EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES:
- A solid number of years in a similar role within an agency or client-side
- Experience working in Agile/Iterative based projects
- Preferred experience working in fast-paced digital agencies
- Ability to work with data, UX and design, technical and delivery teams to deliver high quality work
