We are partnered with a forward thinking UK Wide General Property Practice to search for a critical hire within their London Valuation team. Our client operates at around c.£22m turnover and the valuation department makes up a large portion of this. I am mandated to find an ambitious Surveyor or Senior Surveyor that has ideally worked on both commercial and residential valuations. Working from their London offices on a hybrid basis, this team carries out a diverse range of valuation instructions throughout Central London and some home counties working with a variety of clients and properties. The valuation department is relatively boutique at 10 staff making it large enough for a solid team but small enough for the selected candidate to make an impact which is what they want with a clear directive to get them to directorship.
You will report into the divisional head of department who is well known in the market place and will offer you excellent guidance wherever you may need it along with an amazing career development plan which ties into the HR company policy for staff training.
What will you be doing in this role?
A large bulk of this role includes providing valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposes including tax, acquisitions, disposals and financial reporting with a solid split of commercial and residential, yet dependent on the strengths of the prospect, this role can lean toward one asset class. This would be on behalf of a really diverse client base, keeping you very busy and interested. Clients would include major lending organisations including UK clearing banks and alternative lenders, investors, developers, local authorities and landed estates.

What experience is needed?
- MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer
- Experience in writing clear and concise reports and providing strategic property advice and due diligence
- Capabilities in Microsoft applications as well as Argus and Kel
- Experience of statutory, development and investment valuations across different asset types is ideal
- Willingness to oversee and assist junior colleagues
- Demonstrable communication skills
