Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Quality to lead quality assurance and curriculum improvement across their apprenticeship and training provision. This strategic leadership role is key to ensuring all programmes meet regulatory standards (Ofsted, Matrix, etc.) and deliver exceptional outcomes for both learners and employers.
As Head of Quality, you’ll drive internal quality assurance processes, shape innovative teaching strategies, and support Ofsted readiness—fostering a culture of excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Quality Strategy for apprenticeship and commercial programmes
- Oversee Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), including sampling, standardisation, and moderation
- Support curriculum planning aligned with sector expectations and employer needs
- Lead on the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
- Manage Ofsted readiness, including inspections and deep dives
- Lead Matrix accreditation visits and other quality frameworks
- Observe teaching, learning, and assessment practices, providing developmental feedback
- Analyse learner data to inform quality improvement strategies
- Champion innovative pedagogy, including tech-enhanced learning
- Keep current with Ofsted EIF, DfE funding rules, and other regulatory requirements
- Report to senior leadership on quality KPIs and risk areas
- Design and deliver CPD for tutors, coaches, and quality teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally (MIS, Operations, Safeguarding) to drive quality
- Ensure compliance with audit and inspection standards
