The Role:
A newly created opportunity to work with a highly acquisitive group completing around eight transactions a year globally. Alongside organic growth, this is a strategic objective of the Group. As a result of rapid expansion globally and the acquisition strategy, the Group now has a role for an International Tax Manager with experience in M&A.
The role will involve working with the Global Head of Tax to deliver tax advice in the following areas:
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Providing tax advice, in conjunction with local tax advisors, in respect of global acquisitions including UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Latin America, and Europe.
- Working with the Head of M&A and other members of the team to collaboratively deliver global deals.
- Review of tax due diligence reports.
- Tax structuring in relation to deals including form of acquisition, structure, funding, and share considerations.
- Post-acquisition integration including ongoing tax compliance and resolution of tax issues arising from tax due diligence.
International Taxation
- Delivering all aspects of transfer pricing compliance within the group including policy, processes, documentation, and advice on new business models.
- Providing tax advice to the business on new business models and commercial contracts including permanent establishment risk and withholding tax.
- Monitoring of overseas tax compliance (which is owned by finance teams in the regions).
- Staying informed on the latest UK, International, and OECD tax developments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Group finance, regional finance teams, legal team, and operational teams.
The Person:
- CTA, ACA, CA, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of M&A.
- Experience of international tax matters including transfer pricing, permanent establishment, and withholding tax.
- Ambitious, enthusiastic, and passionate about tax and deal advisory.
- Excellent communication skills.
