Divisional Operations Director – Childrens and Community Services

Main duties of the job

The Divisional Operations Director for our Childrens and Community Services Division is a crucial role in the Trust. This Division has adult and children’s community services, in addition to acute paediatrics, with a brief to optimise out of hospital provision and service transformation in conjunction with local partners and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is committed to running outstanding services and reducing some of the unacceptable health inequalities that exist for the patients and communities we serve.

Person Specification

Education/ Qualifications

  • Masters level or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience
  • Post graduate qualification in health or management or equivalent experience.

Skills

  • Ability to lead the strategic development of a business with similar scale and complexity to the clinical division
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and leadership
  • Ability to effectively lead a high-performing team

Experience

  • Experience of managing a complex and multi-dimensional Division or Directorate within a wider organisational structure
  • Experience of leading teams, supporting and developing staff members, and actively managing poor performance
  • Experience of providing services to a high quality with restricted resources
  • Experience of implementing change management projects to develop or improve services

Knowledge

  • Acute hospital and community services
