About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our finance team. This would be a great role for someone who has a solid background in month end accounting and is looking to step into a more commercially focused role. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, passion for continuous improvement and take a proactive approach to problem-solving. This person will also be on their journey to achieving their CIMA/ACCA qualification.
What you'll do
- Run weekly trade reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive trade reporting and forecasting.
- Own month end P&L schedules, supporting with variance analysis and ensuring accuracy of numbers being presented
- Ensure accurate sales reporting at channel level and allocation of revenue and costs
- Support the Head of Finance with maintenance of rolling forecast and budgets, including data uploads for BI tool
- Prepare the board pack, collating slides from the wider team and preparing standard monthly files
- Work with technology team to ensure integrity of BI reporting and continuous improvement
- Support Head of Finance with ad hoc reporting and queries from the wider business.
What you'll bring
- Part Qualified (CIMA OR ACCA) with some experience in a relevant financial role
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and driving results
- Knowledge of or desire to learn Business Central Navision (BC/Dynamics365)
- Confident using BI tools for data reporting and analysis
- Excel ‘Ninja’ who has mastered Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Index, Match and the more complex capabilities of Excel
- Self-motivated and able to provide evidence of strong intellectual ability, work-ethic and drive to succeed in an ever-changing environment
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills with phenomenal attention to detail and strong affinity to problem solving
- Willingness to take on duties outside of your direct remit – with our fast-paced culture you will find yourself working with demands and ad-hoc duties that require a positive and proactive approach
