We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Surfacing Supervisor, to be based on the Isle of Man. Manx Rock Limited (formerly Colas (IOM) Limited) are a well-established Quarry, Asphalt Manufacturer and Asphalt Surfacing operator based on the Isle of Man. This role may suit an individual currently based in the UK or Ireland that would be interested in moving to the Isle of Man.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, motivate, train and supervise your team of operatives
- Ensure your operatives adhere to all company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, and Procedures
- Ensure materials are laid to correct depths and levels
- Completion of daily record sheets, dip sheets, daily plant inspection reports, including any other relevant paperwork
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Asphalt surfacing and groundwork experience
- Operational experience of Asphalt Surfacing plant and machinery
- Ability to measure and quantify materials
- Ability to work calmly under pressure with minimal supervision
- Experience of leading, managing and developing others
Required Certification:
- A valid driving license
- In date SSSTS certificate is desirable but we will train if necessary
- In date relevant plant operational certificates are also desirable but we will arrange re-certification as required
