Senior Construction Solicitor

Sellick Partnership is excited to work alongside an organisation responsible for delivering one of the country’s largest infrastructure projects, in finding a Senior Construction Lawyer to join their in-house legal function.

The successful Construction Solicitor will work closely with the General Counsel on a major project, involving a range of interesting legal work. They will also gain invaluable experience regarding the inner workings of an in-house legal function.

This role will be suited to an experienced Construction Solicitor with a background in large infrastructure projects, as well as experience in commercial, procurement, and contracts.

This role is based in London, and the ideal candidate should be able to attend the office in central London on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contractual documentation relating to Construction Law including collateral warranties, framework agreements, joint venture agreements, NEC, and FIDIC.
  2. Working with high-profile internal and external stakeholders and building relationships.
  3. Collaborating closely with the procurement team on commercial projects.
  4. Assisting with small-value litigation claims.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with strong experience gained working in construction/engineering, either in-house or within Private Practice. Our client is looking for someone with a keen interest and commitment to working in-house.
