My client is recruiting for a Commercial Solicitor at Partner level to join their law firm on a fully remote basis as a Consultant.

This opportunity should appeal to a successful partner with in-depth experience in commercial law, who has the entrepreneurial flair to grow their own practice on their own terms.

They are a virtual law firm whose lawyers operate on an entirely remote basis and are made up of a team of over 40 people based across the UK – many of whom are lawyers who have come from Top 20 or Magic Circle firms or were in-house counsel at FTSE 100 companies. Their practice provides City of London levels of service to a diverse array of large and small clients located nationally and internationally.

  1. An attractive remuneration structure (earnings between 80% – 90% of billing dependent upon level of billing).
  2. 20% of fees billed on work referred internally to others.

The role:

You will work alongside other Partners and Consultants in the Commercial practice, whilst also developing your own practice.

You will:

  1. Have the ability and experience in managing complex cases.
  2. Have a strong grounding in all aspects of commercial law with relevant experience and a track record of successfully handling files at a senior level.
  3. Collaborate well with your peers on internal referrals.
  4. Be adept at undertaking the general responsibilities of partnership.

Key skills:

  1. Be a qualified Solicitor of England & Wales.
  2. Have at least 10 years+ PQE.
  3. Be a top-quality solicitor with a track record.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills – ability to foster strong relationships through oral and written communication.
  5. Excellent client management skills.
  6. Strong business development skills.
  7. Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  8. Excellent judgement.
  9. Ability to think strategically for the long term.
