The Role Support and Enhance our PhD Programme We are looking for a motivated PhD Programme Manager to join our forward-thinking Research and Faculty Office. You’ll manage the student life cycle from admission to graduation and deliver a high quality student experience. Help us continually enhance the quality of applications, and onboard the best new talent to take us into the future. Main Responsibilities * Contribute to the development of operational plans for the delivery of the PhD Programme * Work closely with Faculty Coordinators, managing progress requirements for all PhD students * Manage operational and Trans-Atlantic Doctoral Conference budgets, as well as assist students with external grant applications * Ensure an impeccable student experience, monitoring progress milestones, the examination process, pastoral care and student facilities * Take control of applications and admissions, issuing Certificates of Sponsorship and handling visa issues * Line management (one direct report) Ideal Candidate * Previous experience working in a Higher Education environment * Student facing experience desirable * Excellent stakeholder management skills * Strong written and communication skills * Able to work with a variety of software and databases * Sound project management skills Benefits you can enjoy; * Generous annual leave of 27 days plus extra between Christmas and New Year * Automatic enrolment to a fantastic workplace pension scheme * Free onsite gym and swimming pool * Amazing range of professional development to support your career path * Enhanced cycle to work scheme * Wellbeing offering to support your physical, mental and financial health * Up to 5 days volunteering leave or parent /carer emergency leave Our commitment to driving inclusion and belonging We are a globally reaching institution, committed to creating tangible and sustainable change in driving inclusion & belonging within our School, education and society at large.
