A genuinely superb and quite unique opportunity for a production shift team leader / shift manager to join a market leading business to help set up and shape a department.
The Job:
- Reporting into the Production Manager overseeing teams of Machine Operators.
- Responsible for production teams.
- Help set up the plant / factory, processes, oversee and have some input and awareness of the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Help build the team and culture.
- Assist with training and mentoring instilling a safety culture and a professional, supportive, collaborative and inclusive environment.
The Person:
- Some experience as a production team leader or supervisor role within an industrial manufacturing environment (e.g. paper, steel, metals, glass, materials manufacturing).
- Engaging leadership and good communication and collaboration skills are important.
- Coaching and mentoring style, understand people, machinery, quality, HSE.
- Qualifications around leadership, management, safety an advantage but not essential (e.g. IOSH, LEAN, ILM, NVQ, HNC etc).
