Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Assisting the daily risk management of the Systematic Market Making ETF (SMM ETF) trading desk (executing hedges, developing risk management strategies and utilities) with a focus on EMEA listed ETFs
- Developing a cross-function, cross-asset and cross-regional network within the firm
- Learning how to trade a broad and complex set of products (and the models and markets, as well as the operational and legal framework necessary to trade)
- Working with other traders on the desk and the strats to develop new execution algorithms, pricing / risk management strategies, or enhance existing ones.
- Working with sales and strats to expand overall franchise business
SMM ETF trading is part of the One Delta Macro trading team. The desk delivers liquidity solutions for clients in cash equity products across developed market EMEA. This is achieved through the active management of client relationships, optimising ETF, Stocks and Futures inventory and diligently handling risk. Automation is at the heart of SMM and is a key enabler for both business scale and trader’s specialisation.
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent academic background, ideally in a highly quantitative subject (Mathematics, Physical, Engineering, Finance/Financial Economics or Computing)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest and knowledge in financial markets and products (derivatives knowledge is a plus)
- Great attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Previous programming experience will be a plus
- Previous experience in trading and risk managing equity/single stocks / indices will be a plus
