Flynn Hodkinson is a leading US visa and nationality law firm based in London, UK. We are a boutique firm and take pride in having a friendly and flexible work environment. If you have an interest in US visa and nationality law and enjoy working with clients with an international outlook, this may be the role for you. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office per week. We're a close knit team and offer private health insurance after successful completion of probationary period.
This role will support US visa and nationality lawyers in preparing our company, entrepreneur and individual clients applying for US visas, entry and nationality.
Responsibilities- Prepare cases as completely as possible for Responsible Attorney’s review, identifying or highlighting any uncertain issues or missing information.
- Prepare USCIS and Department of State forms, including I-129, I-130, I-486, DS-160, DS-260, etc. from questionnaire completed by client.
- Draft supporting letters and client correspondence.
- Assemble cases for filing, ensuring that all procedural requirements for filing cases are met including filing fee, signatures, assembly of exhibits, jurisdiction, etc.
- Complete checklist prior to filing case to ensure that all appropriate documents are signed and included and appropriate filing fee cheques attached.
- File all correspondence and documents in LEAP.
- Ask questions of Sr Client Support Specialist or Responsible Attorney to clarify any confusion on legal issues or cases.
- Attend and participate in legal and firm meetings, in-house seminars and client consultations.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed (e.g. open and close files, prepare invoices, etc.).
- Keep clients organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; setting deadline reminders in Todoist; documenting actions; inputting information into LEAP and spreadsheets.
- Download and print intake documents. Responsible for scanning, saving and organizing client documents and information.
- Prepare and track New Matter Sheets, Engagement Agreements, Privacy Agreements and invoices.
- Request KYC documents prior to consultation; send consultation questionnaire and arrange payment of consultation fee.
- Update engagement letter templates, when necessary.
- Coordinate Sharepoint and prepare reports in LEAP and Excel.
- Scan/Save/Log receipts, approvals, RFE’s, NOIDs, communicate these updates to clients, input this information into case tracking system.
- Assist lawyers with drafting blogs as required.
- Accomplish firm goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be well-organized and have ability to meet established/changing deadlines.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
- Experience with the use of Leap case management software and Xero financial software is a plus.
