The predicted salary is between 24000 - 42000 £ per year.

Based in Buckinghamshire, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence (NO SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE). Basic salary £30,000 plus quarterly bonuses and an extensive range of benefits such as an enhanced pension, flexible hours, and career progression.

Due to continued expansion, my client is seeking forward-thinking Project Test Engineers who have a strong interest in technology and are looking to build their career in the Automotive industry.

As a Project Test Engineer, you will hold an engineering degree or equivalent or be qualified by experience with a minimum of one year's experience of testing electronics hardware and software ideally in the Automotive industry. You will be part of the project testing team where you will take ownership of testing and signoff activities for various products by validating their functionality, performance, and reliability. You will ensure high-quality standards, conduct testing, create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and tools, and provide feedback to developers and project members.

Candidate Skills

  • Effective communication skills, written and spoken
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, excellent attention to detail with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate working in a collaborative cross-functional engineering/test team with a positive attitude
  • Any experience of the following skills would be advantageous, but not essential:
  • Any exposure to GPS and automotive-based technologies with an understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Any software testing techniques, including manual and automated testing within the automotive industry along with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems experience

Duties

  • You will be involved in product testing from R&D to product release
  • Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Able to develop and utilise software, firmware, and hardware testing tools for product testing
  • Able to write and execute product testing plans and strategies, whilst identifying and improving product testing tools and processes
  • As part of a team, you will contribute to project planning and decision-making and be able to create and maintain product test sheets and documentation
