A new opportunity is now available for the launch and opening of a new Pop Up Store in Bicester. The store is contracted initially for 6 months with the view to go permanent in 2026.
We are recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager with over 1 year of experience selling premium/luxury ready-to-wear fashion. Our client is renowned for their modern and on-trend designs which have been worn by fashion-forward royals and various high-profile celebrities, with a focus on sustainable fashion at the forefront of their values.
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Manager with opening, coaching and leading the sales team to success, including offering admin support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for styling and the brand, lead by example, and be a trustworthy point of contact for the team.
The Role:
- Reporting to the General Manager
- Supporting a team of 5 Sales Associates
- Key holder - Responsible for opening and closing store in absence of General Manager
- Meets personal and store sales goals
- Delivering knowledge on clientelling and CRM functions
- Focus on delivering the ultimate client experience and building rapport with clients
- Assists in the training and development of sales staff
- Responsible for Health & Safety and maintenance of the store
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise
- Maintains a keen interest in the fashion industry and market trends
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure the selling floor is neat, organized and reflects the brand image at all times
- Ensures deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner
- Effectively relays any client feedback regarding successes and/or opportunities about product
Ideal candidate:
- 1 year+ experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor within a fashion premium/luxury environment
- Experience managing and leading a team of 5+ staff
- Passionate and knowledgeable about fashion
- Uses own initiative with the ability to be reliable to the sales team
- Dynamic interpersonal, written and verbal communication
- Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude to clients and colleagues
- Casual/Smart and well-groomed in appearance
- Sales driven and determined to succeed
- Able to build positive relationships with clients and team members
Additional to the basic salary:
- 0.5% Commission: Earned on all sales in-store, paid monthly regardless of whether the target is met
- Stretch Bonus: awarded based on the additional revenue generated and the engineer hours worked
- Uniform Allowance: £1,500 provided quarterly
- Birthday Off: One day off on your birthday, in addition to the standard 28 days of annual leave
